"Remade" is an ongoing series exploring the remaking of the human person through experiences of profound pressure, loss, suffering, and hope.  The series title reflects the experiences of the artist as a military chaplain, and the journeys of the men and women with whom he walked through combat, catastrophic injury, grief, trauma, moral injury, and the unanswerable questions that often follow. He and those in his care each found healing in understanding that these experiences did not leave them unchanged - neither the same self nor someone entirely new. Rather, they recognized that each had become an amalgam of their former selves and lived experiences which, when recognized and embraced, revealed strength, beauty, and purpose that otherwise would remain hidden. Each painting invites the viewer into the artwork itself, to take their own journey to discover how they have been 'Remade.'
